About

Built by the people we serve.

Mission

A simple belief.

Neighbors should help neighbors. We started as a small group of concerned residents who wanted to make a difference. What began as a weekly meal service has grown into a comprehensive support organization for hundreds of families a month.

The most effective way to help is to listen to what people actually need, not what we think they need. We started by knocking on doors and asking. The answers were simple and humbling: a warm meal on a bad week, a pack of food for the weekend, a place where nobody looks at you funny when you sit down.

"We don't run a food pantry. We host dinners — and we send neighbors home with the dignity of having been a guest." Our board, 2020

Today, we serve hundreds of families each month through three core programs, supported by a network of volunteers and donors who share the same conviction. We publish our numbers every month, and every dollar is accounted for. If you'd like to see the financial breakdown, scroll down.

What we believe

Five values, kept short.

Posters with five-word value statements are easy to write and hard to live by. We try anyway.

01

Dignity first

Nobody fills out a form to eat dinner with us.

02

Show up

The same Saturday every month, rain or shine, for four years.

03

Listen

Our programs change when the community tells us they should.

04

Transparency

Numbers and finances published monthly, not annually.

05

No saviors

Neighbors helping neighbors. Not us helping them.

Financials

Where your dollar goes.

For every dollar you give, this is the split. Our complete annual statements are available upon request — email us and we'll send them.
